Just recently I got a DJ basic set up online because I didn't find anything at the stores I was looking at plus I trust you all than most of these sales people
My DJ gear setup is:
Numark Axis 4 CD Player
[Buy Numark Axis 4 Tabletop CD Player | DJ CD, MP3 & Media Players | Musician's Friend]

AV Link Dual RCA - 1/4" Cable
[Buy AV Link Dual RCA - 1/4" Cable | Audio / RCA Cables | Musician's Friend]

Numark DM1200 DJ Mixer
[Buy Numark DM1200 DJ Mixer | Multi Channel DJ Mixers | Musician's Friend]

Can anyone think of some key gear I'm missing? I'm not looking to go out and be some super master DJ.

Don't forget the monkey

Actually... that really is all you need to start with till you get yer own style felt out.

Then, whaile you're spinning one night.... you'll go: "Ya know what??? If I Had (fill in the blank), then I could (fill in the blank)."

Hook em up... spin... Oh... and get some headphones. (you didn't mention those) and a power strip... and maybe a monkey. Yeah... definately a monkey.

Oh... and a PA system. unless you treat your home stereo with care.

Plus ... PA's and monkeys get along great.
